Legendary rapper Ice Cube is coming straight into Vancouver this summer

If you’ve ever wanted to see rap icon Ice Cube live in concert, you’ll have your chance this summer in Vancouver.

The NWA and Ride Along star announced that the Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude tour is coming to the Pacific Coliseum on Saturday, September 20.

The Hollywood Walk of Famer is only stopping in two Canadian cities on the tour. Tickets go on sale through Live Nation and Ticket Leader on Saturday, April 18 at 10 a.m.

“Truth to Power is more than a tour — it’s a 40-year celebration,” said Ice Cube in a release. “The world needs truth. The people need power. And that’s what my music brings.

“It’s gonna be next level to go from city to city with a major production unlike anything I’ve ever done before.”

Ice Cube launched his career in 1987 when he formed NWA with Eazy-E and Dr. Dre. He established himself as a West Coast hip-hop heavyweight with his work on Straight Outta Compton and his debut solo album, AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted, which sold more than a million copies.

The Los Angeles-born actor and film producer is a star on screen thanks to his work in the Barbershop and XXX series, 21 Jump Street, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. Ice Cube is also the co-founder of BIG3 Basketball League, a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and has been honoured by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
