Who said Vancouver is boring? Being a foodie in this city has never been easier, especially with all the great food and drink-related events taking place this month.

We’re talking huge paellas enjoyed on the patio, Walt Disney-inspired multi-course feasts, and so much more — all of which you can do without leaving Vancouver.

So, whether you’re looking to embrace your inner wine connoisseur or just take mom out for a nice brunch, these are some of the top Vancouver events that will satisfy everyone’s inner foodie.

Vancouver Chef’s Icon Dinners Vol. 3 — Walt Disney at Kavita

Fans of Disney and good food are in luck, as the two are coming together for one night as part of the Vancouver Chef’s Icon dinner series.

Kavita chef and owner Tushar Tondvalkar is joining forces with Tim Schulte, who has worked under renowned German chef Tim Mälzer and was named Best Chef of the Year in 2013. The two had actually worked side by side at Bauhaus about a decade ago.

Expect a Disney-inspired cocktail by Kabir Sehgal of Kavita, and some exceptional wine pairings from La Stella and Le Vieux Pin, all alongside a six-course tasting menu inspired by some of Disney’s greatest movies.

When: May 11

Not one but three separate events celebrating everything wine will be coming to Vancouver’s Yaletown on Monday, May 11.

The first of these events is called Wine Plaza, which will feature over 30 wineries from Europe, pouring more than 60 wines. Attendees will be able to sip and stroll through the Helmcken Plaza while enjoying small bites from Yaletown Brewing Company. Tickets for this event are $88.

Following that, Hemispheres will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Heist, Vancouver’s hottest new nightclub. This event, which costs $78, will feature exciting wines from the Southern Hemisphere and Japan and allow guests to experience a diverse selection from 16 producers, including wines and sake that are reshaping modern wine culture. There will also be light snacks from Minami.

Finally, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. is Home Turf, a celebration of local B.C. talent. “Thrill your palate with wines from 16 of B.C.’s most dynamic wineries, from legendary icons to fresh and bourgeoning natural wonders,” wrote the event. There will also be a curation of wine-friendly snacks courtesy of Earls Yaletown, where the event is taking place. Tickets come in at $135.

If Monday wasn’t enough wine excitement for you, Top Drop’s main event is taking place the following day and will feature over 70 terroir-focused wineries. Here, you’ll discover exceptional wines from bougie Champagne houses, Australian sommelier-favourites, icons of Barolo, next-wave B.C. producers, and so much more.

Clos du Soleil Winery at Bacchus

Enjoy a special one-night-only dinner at Wedgewood Hotel’s Bacchus Restaurant, where you’ll celebrate the expressive wines of Clos du Soleil Winery. Expect a multi-course menu by Executive Chef Stefan Hartmann, all paired to showcase these Clos du Soleil wines — including limited releases and winemaker’s series selections.

Shipyards Night Market

The Shipyards Night Market is making its return for the 2026 season, bringing back its free Friday night experience to North Vancouver. Expect a curated marketplace alongside plenty of food trucks, live music, and a beer garden.

The Origins Dinner: Hawksworth x Jacob x Posteraro

Chef David Hawskworth is teaming up with beloved chefs Michel Jacob (formerly Le Crocodile) and Pino Posteraro (Cioppino’s) for a one-night-only collaboration dinner, honouring the origins of their culinary legacies. This communal dinner will feature a multi-course menu, with dishes crafted by each chef.

Como Taperia Paella Patio Series

The much-loved Mount Pleasant summer tradition is returning, with eight events scheduled from May to September. Como Taperia and the Paella Guys are bringing back their popular Paella Patio Series for its sixth consecutive year, and it all kicks off on May 24. Guests will be able to enjoy fresh paella prepared on Como’s patio alongside tapas, drinks, and more.

When: May 24, June 7, June 21, July 26, Aug. 9, Aug. 23, and Sept. 6
Time: Three seatings available, noon, 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.

Spot Prawn Festival

This year will feature multiple ways to enjoy the start of spot prawn season. In addition to free access to the docks, cooking demos, and the educational marketplace, this year will see the return of the popular $12 Prawn and Seafood Chowder and Bun.

Additionally, the $85 Spot Prawn Brunch — a grazing stand-up style experience offering a tasting menu of six different spot prawn dishes from multiple popular Vancouver restaurants — will be returning as well.
