GO Fest Outdoor Concert Series 2018
- What: GO Fest is hosting a free outdoor concert series over the May long weekend. Starting the weekend will be Juno-winning artists, the Philosopher Kings, a Canadian pop and alternative rock group. Saturday will feature Carmanah, known for their West Coast soul sound, and Current Swell later in the evening. Coco Jafro, known for their funk fusion and musical rhythms will start the show on Sunday followed by electronic music duo, the Funk Hunters.

Douglas Coupland – Vortex
Artist Douglas Coupland (Ocean Wise)
- What: Acclaimed Canadian artist Douglas Coupland is launching a new exhibition highlighting ocean plastic pollution at the Vancouver Aquarium this May. The year-long major sculpture Vortex exhibition aims to immerse visitors in a contemplative, emotive, and transformative experience. A large part of Coupland’s exhibit will be a “creative reimagining” of the Pacific Trash Vortex, also referred to as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
