Champagne, horses, and hats: The Deighton Cup returns on July 21

Get your chicest hats and flashiest bowties out! The Deighton Cup – Vancouver’s most stylish day at the races – is coming back for summer 2018 and we’ve got our champagne and fascinators ready.

This year, the event is celebrating its 10th anniversary and it’s all going down on July 21 at Hasting Racetrack.

Attendees will enjoy a day full of derby action at Hastings Racetrack with 5,000 other fashionable guests.

Aside from the races, this year’s event will include a best-dressed competition, mixology contest, and delicious food catered by Earls. The restaurant chain will be building a pop-up kitchen on location and Hawksworth will be catering food for patrons in VIP suits. Whether you treat yourself at the taco bar or try delicious sushi doughnuts, the spread at the Cup will definitely satisfy.

Ahead of the festivities, there will be an annual preview event, The Starting Gate, on May 5 at Reflections: The Garden Terrace at Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Come in your fanciest attire for cocktails and a special showing of the Kentucky Derby. Tickets are available now. This is the perfect way to get ready for this summer’s Cup on July 21!
