5 celebrities recently spotted dining in Vancouver
It’s no secret that Vancouver has an all-star dining scene, and plenty of celebrities have started to take notice.
Whether they’re local favourites or international Hollywood stars, plenty of top-notch celebrities have been dining in our wonderful city.

Ryan Reynolds has long been a fan of Minerva’s in Vancouver, having shouted out the Mediterranean restaurant multiple times. Now, it looks like some other celebrities are hopping on the Minerva bandwagon, as Michael BublĂ© just gave a major shoutout to the restaurant after visiting per Reynolds’ recommendation.
“Late to the party, but I’m glad I finally made it; gotta thank my bro @vancityreynolds for the recommendation. Minerva’s is something special. Huge thanks to Nondas and crew for the incredible food and hospitality,” wrote BublĂ© on Instagram.
Someone in the comments proceeded to ask him for his recommendations, which he responded with, “So far I’ve been once. Sooooo⊠the pizza, ribs, and the strawberry shortcake.”
Hudson Williams

Hudson Williams obviously loves the Metro Vancouver dining scene, as the Heated Rivalry star keeps being spotted at different restaurants.
First, Williams was spotted by fans outside of Banter Room in Yaletown and inside The Roxy.
Then, a few weeks later, Williams made a stop for brunch at The One Sixty Wine Bar and Cafe in Port Moody.
Williams grew up in Kelowna and, in 2020, moved to Vancouver to attend Langara College, where he earned an acting certificate from the Film Arts program. He’s been very outspoken on his love for the city, previously sharing that he loves how boring it is.
He’s also shouted out numerous Vancouver restaurants in the past, including Kook (which he claimed is the “most exciting Korean BBQ” in Vancouver), Big Way Hot Pot, AJ’s Brooklyn Pizza Shop, and Nadri.

Elijah Wood was once again spotted eating around Vancouver. This time, he made a stop at Thank You Pizza.
“Thanks for stopping by!!!!!” wrote the pizza destination on Instagram alongside a photo of Wood smiling with staff.
Located in Chinatown in the space that operates as Honeybee Bruncheonette, Thank You Pizza is a counter-service concept offering a selection of sourdough pizza, natural wines, and beer.
Earlier this year, Wood and his Lord of the Rings co-stars Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, and Dominic Monaghan were in Vancouver for Fan Expo. During their visit, they did more than meet with fans. The four celebrities ended up dining in and around Vancouver and were very impressed with the local food scene.
Wood was so impressed with the food scene that he raved about it later during an interview with CN Traveler, giving a shoutout to Vancouver’s sushi and the city’s many award-winning restaurants.
“There are a number of Michelin-starred restaurants there. One of my favourite places that I just went to, and I hadn’t been in a long time, is Vij’s, the Indian restaurant,” said Wood.Â

Jose Mari Chan (a.k.a. “The Mariah Carey of the Philippines”) was spotted at Vancouver’s Cardero’s Restaurant.
“The Mariah Carey of the Philippines, Jose Mari Chan, spreading cheer at Cardero’s, one Christmas carol at a time. Thank you for visiting us!” wrote the restaurant on Instagram.
Chan, who also holds the moniker of the “Father of Filipino Christmas,” received the nickname due to how popular his music is during the holiday season, similar to how Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” becomes popular during the winter.

Actress Fola Evans-Akingbola from Netflix’s The Night Agent was spotted dining at beloved Vancouver restaurant Zab Bite.
“Loved having @folaevansakingbola stop by Zab Bite! đ§Ąđčđ,” wrote the restaurant in an Instagram post with a photo of the actress pictured with staff. “Thanks for visiting, we hope to see you again soon! âš”
Located at 4197 Fraser St. in Vancouver, Zab Bite is a Michelin-recommended Thai restaurant best known for its E-Sarn style cuisine. Think papaya salad, sticky rice, grilled meats, and more. We’re particularly fond of the Crying Tiger, which is grilled beef with jaew sauce, rice powder, and chili flakes.
