Vancouver Canucks forward Kiefer Sherwood had quite the end to his July.
The 30-year-old, who is coming off his first season with the Canucks, married his longtime girlfriend, Ariela, on July 26. The two wed at Stonepine Estate in Carmel Valley, California.

After being quiet about it on social media for the past few weeks, Ariel took to Instagram to share some photos from a stunning wedding venue.

“A dream come true,” Ariel captioned the photo. “07.06.2025. The Sherwoods.”
The wedding comes just under a year after Sherwood proposed to Ariel in yet another gorgeous setting. The proposal came while the couple was vacationing in the Caribbean country of Turks and Caicos.

“Forever and a day,” Ariel captioned the series of photos.
Any potential stressors that can come from helping plan a wedding didn’t seem to impact Sherwood at all in 2024-25, as the gritty winger set an NHL record for hits in a season with 462. The previous high belonged to defenceman Jeremy Lauzon, who had 383 in 2023-24.
Sherwood was every bit as good offensively, as well, scoring a career-high 19 goals and 40 points in 78 games.
