A major Vancouver bridge will have an onramp closure this month

With workers performing maintenance on a well-used Vancouver bridge, you might have to account for some additional driving time.
The Dollarton Highway Onramp that feeds eastbound traffic onto the Ironworkers Bridge will be closed from Monday, Aug. 17 to Friday, Sept. 4 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Drivers will have the opportunity to take a detour, taking the onramp from Dollarton to go westbound on Highway 1. From there, take Exit 22B for Mount Seymour Parkway/Lillooet Road, and turn left at Keith Road.

Drivers in the Lower Mainland can expect delays on a number of other roads. For example, B.C. is investing over $100 million in resurfacing over 200 kilometres of highway and roads in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island this summer, including in the Abbotsford area, Hope, and North Shore.
Further, work to widen Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley is ongoing this year, as the province increases the number of lanes on the Mount Lehman Interchange from three to five. To accommodate construction, traffic on the Mount Lehman structure is reduced from three to two lanes, anticipated to last until the end of 2026.
