An Umbrella party is taking place in Vancouver at the beginning of next month, in an effort to help others deal with the season’s grey, gloomy days.
The event is being hosted by Party4Health, and organizers say it will be “rainiest, outdoor urban dance party in history.”
Taking place on November 3, the idea behind the event is to “break the link” between the gloomy weather and the gloomy moods that many people often feel at this time of year, according to the event’s description.
“We are going to explore a pedestrian paradise with happy beats powered by SOUNDBOKS and an army of umbrellas,” the description continues.
And while a specific location hasn’t been given, PArty4Health promises to reveal the location to those who have registerd for the event on the evening of November 2.
In the meantime, those who are interested in taking part in the event are advised to get geared up with appropriate attire, including a (neon) umbrella, gum boots, and a rain jacket.
