Vancouver set to see rain every day this week

Another week, another fresh round of rainfall.

Such is the pattern in Vancouver this time of year, and this week certainly seems to be holding true to tradition.

Yes, after a weekend that was drier than expected, it looks like the rain is making up for lost time, beginning today.

According to Environment Canada, the grey skies and rain this morning are sticking around straight through until next weekend.

The rain could be particularly hard from Monday through Tuesday, which has prompted the federal weather agency to issue a special weather statement. Between 50 and 70 mm is expected during this period.

Temperatures will continue to be cool this week as well, with daytime highs hovering around the low teens, and temperatures at night dipping to single digits throughout much of the week.

So if you needed an excuse to hide indoors, or maybe test the waterproof capabilities of your new fall wardrobe, this week looks like the perfect time to do just that.
