Those looking to add a little bit of colour to their spring flower collection are invited to check out the largest U-pick tulip farm in the Fraser Valley.
Located at 39171 No. 4 Rd in Abbotsford, Lakeland Flowers has now opened their operation, with plans to keep it running right up until Mother’s Day.
Due to COVID-19 safety restrictions, all attendees will be required to pre-purchase online tickets prior to attending.
Once tickets are purchased and stamped upon arrival, attendees are free to wander around the entire 35-acre field among five million tulips, “take photos and enjoy yourself,” according to the farm’s website.

“Our requirements while you are at the farm are that you follow our directional signs in the field, stay behind the ropes indicating the out of bounds areas to help protect our flowers, keep your mask on while on site, unless you are taking photos with your party and are at a safe six-foot distance from others, and continue to follow the COVID-19 guidelines set out by our health officials,” the farm adds.

Hand sanitizing and hand washing stations will be available at various areas of the field, entrance, and at the bathrooms. Portable washrooms will be equipped with hand sanitizer, soap, water, and paper towel.
Staff will also be sanitizing high touch areas and washrooms at regular intervals throughout the day, wearing masks, and abiding by all COVID-19 protocols on-site at all times, the farm notes.
“When you are ready to leave you can redeem your ticket and pick your U-Pick tulips,” the website states. “Attendees who would like to purchase additional bunches of tulips may do so online or after exiting the field at our Flower Shop.”
