Police and hundreds of others are working to locate Trina Hunt, a 48-year-old Port Moody woman who went missing earlier this week.

The Port Moody Police Department says that she was last seen at her Heritage Mountain residence on Monday, January 18. She’s approximately 5’4″ tall and 120 lbs and was last seen wearing a black North Face jacket with a teal green collar and pink and purple shoes.

Family members have also shared word of Trina’s disappearance, calling it “uncharacteristic of her.”

“Trina stayed on the main roads or the very common trails,” writes Stephanie Ibbott, one of Trina’s relatives. “She did not have her cell phone or keys with her.”

“She was known to walk the neighbourhood and to the complex in Westwood with IGA and Starbucks.”

Ibbott says that “hundreds of people” searched on Wednesday, adding that they’re beyond grateful for the assistance. Volunteers are reminded to dress warmly, stay COVID-safe, and avoid knocking on doors or going into ravines.

Anyone with information can contact the Port Moody Police Department and Detective Mike Lu at 604-461-3456.
