10 Vancouver restaurants named among the top spots in Canada

OpenTable recently shared its list of the Top 100 Restaurants in Canada for 2026, and Vancouver had its fair share of eateries on the list. Specifically, 10 Vancouver restaurants made the list.
“Some lists are decided by critics, but not OpenTable’s Top 100 — this one is driven by the people who eat there. See this year’s top spots based on insights and reviews from OpenTable diners like you,” writes OpenTable on its website. “Every restaurant on this list earned its spot through real bookings, reviews, and ratings from diners across Canada.”
Among the 10 Vancouver spots on the list, Vancouver’s recent Bib Gourmand recipient Kavita made the cut. The contemporary South Asian restaurant opened its doors a little over a year ago and is helmed by Tushar Tondvalkar. Here, the team is serving Indian cuisine prepared with local ingredients, with a menu inspired by Tondvalkar’s roots in Mumbai and the coastal town of Malvan, as well as his mother (which the restaurant is named after). It’s best known for its amma-kase menu, which is Kavita’s version of an omakase tasting menu.
Additionally, Michelin-starred Sumibiyaki Arashi was included in the list. The restaurant is an intimate 14-seat yakitori restaurant led by Peter Ho, known for its charcoal-grilled dishes.
