One of Vancouver's top vegan bakeries just announced a second location

To Live For Bakery is widely considered one of Vancouver’s top spots for vegan treats. Brought to us by Erin Ireland, the bakery is best known for its cakes, breakfast sandwiches, croissants, and more.

Recently, Ireland went on her Instagram to share the news that a second “mini” location is in the works.

“Four months ago, there were absolutely no plans to open another location. But when @vancitycu reached out about a space in their renovated head office branch right by the SkyTrain and the seawall, the timing, the location, and the support they were offering were just too good to pass up,” wrote Ireland.

Located at 183 Terminal Ave., Vancouver, the new location will operate as a kiosk inside the renovated Vancity building and promises to offer its line of animal-free pastries, sandwiches, and lattes. While no cakes will be available here, Ireland promises the team will be restocking the kiosk with fresh product throughout the day from her nearby, newly opened wholesale bakery (which she said she’d share more informationa bout on another day).

“Vancity isn’t building a traditional ‘branch’ here, they’re building a community gathering hub, with open seating and room to use as you like. It’s a pretty cool thing to see a major institution put this kind of support behind a small, independently owned business. We’re so excited to be part of the neighbourhood!” added Ireland.

To Live For Bakery’s new location aims to open in November. Be sure to check back here for more information soon.
