A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at a Surrey Christian school.

According to Fraser Health, 30 positive cases have been identified at Regent Christian Academy.

As a “precautionary measure to respond to this outbreak” the school will shut down and switch to online learning until December 18, when the school was scheduled to close for the holiday break.

Fraser Health says it follows rigorous protocol if a student or teacher receives a positive COVID-19 test result, which includes contract tracing, and public health staff working closely with the school community.
