Update: Surrey RCMP informed Daily Hive that the school has been cleared and students have now been formally dismissed for the day. There is no risk to public safety. The investigation continues.
A Surrey high school was evacuated today due to an “unspecified threat.”
According to Surrey RCMP, officers are currently on the scene at LA Matheson Secondary School (located on the 9400 block of 122 Street).
Officers are on scene at L.A. Matheson Sec (9400 blk of 122 St) for an unspecified threat. As a precaution, the school was evacuated. Students are in a safe location and being monitored by school staff while police continue to investigate. We will update as soon as possible.
