A new 3,000-seat stadium is coming to Surrey, for a sport that may surprise you.
The exact location is yet to be determined, but a $3.7 million facility has been approved in the budget, a City of Surrey spokesperson told Daily Hive.
The stadium will be open-air with covered seats and a grass field for the sport of Kabaddi.

Kabaddi is a popular contact sport in South Asia, first originating in Ancient India and is currently the official national sport of Bangladesh.
It is played by more than 50 million people in 65 countries around the world, including: India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Japan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Iran, Korea, Argentina, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy, China, Trinidad and Tobago, and Australia.
