Vancouver police are looking for witnesses, as well as dash cam and cell phone footage, after a violent altercation led to a stabbing downtown early on Saturday morning.
The VPD said that two groups got into an altercation on Hornby Street near Dunsmuir Street just before 2 am, which ended with a man stabbed.
The 25-year-old victim suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital in serious condition.

The suspect, who fled before police arrived, is described as being in his late teens to early 20s, as either Caucasian or Latin, and was wearing all black clothes.
Investigators believe that the crime was captured on video on at least one cell phone, and are appealing for people with information to come forward.
Anyone who may have been driving in the area of Hornby and Dunsmuir Streets this between 1:30 and 2:00 am with dash-cam footage is asked to come forward.
