Ride Cycle Club flags coronavirus exposure at two Vancouver studios
A Vancouver spin studio chain says guests who worked out at two of its locations may have been exposed to coronavirus recently.
Ride Cycle Club said in recent emails to members that someone who tested positive for coronavirus visited its Kitsilano location on four days in August, and another person who tested positive took a class at its Yaletown location.
The Kitsilano classes with exposure warnings are as follows:
- Wednesday, August 5 at 5 pm
- Friday, August 7 at noon
- Sunday, August 9 at 9 am
- Monday, August 10 at 9:30 am
The potential exposure at the Hamilton Street studio in Yaletown was during the 5:15 pm class on Wednesday, August 5.
Vancouver Coastal Health “has deemed our studios low risk for transmission. We ask that you please monitor yourself and please get tested if you have any symptoms of COVID-19,” the Kitsilano studio manager wrote in the email.
The emails also noted members have received a free spin class credit to their account.
Daily Hive first reached out to Ride Cycle Club to ask about these exposures on August 13, and followed up on Thursday. The club not yet responded.
