Coronavirus outbreak declared at Loblaws distribution centre in Surrey

Fraser Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at a Loblaws Inc. distribution centre in Surrey, located at 2755 – 190th Street.
As of August 20, nine employees of the facility have tested positive for COVID-19. The affected individuals and their close contacts have been instructed to self-isolate.
Fraser Health Public Health is screening all employees at the facility, and contact management is ongoing.
According to a release from Fraser Health, the facility is currently operating at normal capacity.
BC health officials said on Thursday that 80 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the province.
