Digital Dungeon and Dragons

  • What: Are you a Dungeons and Dragons gamer looking for a regular group to game with? Richmond Public Library hosts a weekly digitally-styled D&D game for adults every Tuesday. Registration required as seats are limited.

City Centre’s Concerts in the Park Series

  • What: Enjoy a night of fun activities and entertainment by local artists at Garden City Park. This event is for all ages, and disability access is available.
  • When: Every Wednesday from July 4 to August 29, 2018
  • Time: 6:30 to 8 pm
  • Where: Garden City Community Park – 6620 Garden City Road, Richmond
  • Admission: Free

Starlight Theatre at Lansdowne Centre

  • What: Take a trip back to the days of poodle-skirts, greased hair, and doo-wop music – the Drive-In Movie Series returns to Lansdowne Centre for its third year, presented by Fresh Air Cinema. Enjoy classic, family-friendly, and even some of the latest hits on an outdoor screen. Take a drive and cuddle up, or bring a blanket and lawn chair and settle in. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis (first 200 vehicles), and the movie audio will be broadcast over FM radio. Keep in mind that this is a family-friendly event, so smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited.

Richmond Community Day

  • What: A fun family-friendly environment to encourage face-to-face contact and real conversations between neighbours. The event will have local non-profit organizations revealing the various needs of the community and providing space and opportunity for our Musqueam neighbours to educate all of us on the importance of being good stewards of the land. Activities include a sidewalk chalk drawing competition, bouncy castle, live music, magic show, beach volleyball, refreshments, and more.

Steveston Alive! Walking Tour Vignettes

  • What: Stroll through historic Steveston Village as the past comes to life with the Steveston Alive! Walking Tour Vignettes. Not just any ordinary walking tour – visitors will discover what the past was like as talented Hugh McRoberts Secondary School drama student actors perform five short plays about living and working in Steveston in the year 1917.
  • When: Every Saturday until July 21, 2018

PandaLand at Aberdeen Centre

  • What: Aberdeen Centre is transformed into a one-of-a-kind bamboo oasis celebrating the iconic, beloved Panda Bear. The exhibit features a family of 9 whimsical origami paper panda bear sculptures and 500 fuzzy adorable panda bears. Aberdeen Centre has commissioned a Hong Kong artist to create live sketches of the Panda scenes on site. The exhibition also features an exclusive cultural fashion show featuring popular Chinese designer Crystal Zhang, the very collection showcasing in this year’s New York Fashion Week.

Richmond Chamber of Commerce Annual Summer BBQ Luncheon

  • What: Join the Richmond Chamber of Commerce for their Annual BBQ, poolside at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel. Members and those who are not yet members are invited to celebrate the summer with BBQ, raffle prizes, live music, networking, and more.
