Reigning Champ unveils "Sea to Sky" Vancouver collaboration with Asics
Reigning Champ is no stranger to collaborative projects. Most recently, the powerhouse athleisure and streetwear brand has worked with names like Junya Watanabe, Jide Osifeso, and even local restaurant AnnaLena.
Now, the local retailer has announced its latest collaboration, the Reigning Champ x ASICS Vancouver Edition. The project is said to be inspired by the city’s Sea to Sky Corridor trails, including British Columbia’s coastal shores and forest-covered mountains.

Two pairs of sneakers stand at the forefront of the collaboration, the Gel-Cumulus 21 G-TX running shoe and the Gel-Quantum 360 5 Trail. The former comes in “Glacier Grey” and a waterproof GORE-TEX material; the latter is built for British Columbia’s trails and off-roads and comes in a “Midnight palette.

Other pieces of the collection include an insulated vest, a crewneck, half-zip, and an array of shirts, socks, and pants.
The primary graphic of the collaboration is the five main peaks of the Sea to Sky corridor, which are woven and printed onto the garments as topographical maps and rocky textures. The colour palette plays off of toned-down, monotone shades that are sometimes considered as gloomy.
