“Charges of this nature arise when individuals recruit others into providing sexual services for consideration (money), and when they benefit (financially or materially) from those providing the services,” said RCMP in a statement.

Hamer was arrested on April 20, 2019, after the RCMP executed a search warrant in the Creekside subdivision of Whistler. Hamer appeared in North Vancouver court on June 19.

Investigators are asking anyone with additional information to come forward.

“Our investigation has revealed that there are additional unidentified victims who have yet to come forward, we ask that they come forward now,” said Sgt. Jeff Shore of the Sea to Sky General Investigation Section.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Whistler RCMP detachment’s General Investigation Section at 604-932-3044.
