FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
A giant party is coming to this Vancouver alley and you can join in on the fun.
On June 2, head down to Alley Oop —the bright and colourful laneway at Granville and Pender— for a public dance party.
This colourful event will feature DJ sets from Niña Mendoza, Neighbour, Wabi Sladi, and Ryan Wells, so you know the party will be popping.
Hosted by Public Disco, this event is all about creating a fun, and inclusive environment.
“Our dance floor is a safe space for people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, abilities, and sexual orientations to express their identity and set their body free on the dancefloor floor,” said Public Disco.
“We encourage vibrant self-expression, mutual respect and intergenerational engagement. When you step into this space, know that you are among friends. Our community is your community. Don’t forget to look out for one another.”
There will be a glitter station so you can jazz up your outfit or use some sparkly facepaint to get into party mode.
Kids are welcome to join, as the event will feature games and toys to keep the little ones busy (if they need a dance break).
This is one party you don’t want to miss. Bring your best dance moves!
