New Vancouver street festival launches next month filled with standout eats and multiple beer gardens

A new festival that will transform a Vancouver street into a celebration of local businesses, art, music, and community is launching next month, and we’ve got all the juicy details.

Introducing the Pleasant Day Festival, a free one-day festival taking place on Main Street from 16th Street to King Edward Avenue. Here, you’ll find multiple stages featuring live music, extended patios, beer gardens, food trucks, and a diverse selection of artisan vendors.

“We’re very excited to bring a new street festival to Main Street,” said Sierra Morrison of the Mount Pleasant BIA. “It’s all about celebrating the spirit and unique character of our community and the incredible local businesses that make Mount Pleasant one-of-a-kind.”

Highlights of the event include a special BBQ and Beer Garden presented by The Acorn, in addition to other beer gardens, including the Hero’s Welcome Beer Garden and Stage, Pleasant Day Festival Chill Garden, and MainStreet Brewing x Brassneck Beer Garden.

Additionally, Catoro Cat Cafe is hosting a Catoro Cafe Chill Zone that will allow festival-goers a chance to take a break and enjoy bubble tea, lo-fi music, lounge seating, and learn something about cat rescues.
