Sports power couple PK Subban and Lindsey Vonn have announced the end of their three-year relationship.

Subban, who plays for the New Jersey Devils, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, with Olympic medal-winning skier Vonn doing the same.

“Lindsey is one of the most kind and caring people I know. I will always treasure our time as a couple together and the many laughs we shared,” wrote Subban.

“After much consideration, we have decided to move forward separately. We will always remain friends and love each other immensely. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time.”

Subban and Vonn announced their engagement in August 2019. They met at the 2017 ESPYS.

A former Norris Trophy winner, Subban has enjoyed great success during his 10-year NHL career with the Predators and Montreal Canadiens. Vonn is a three-time Olympic medal-winning skier, winning gold in downhill at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games.
