Highly-anticipated North Shore pizzeria to open this week

The North Shore is about to get a little more delicious.

Popular Main Street spot Pizzeria Farina is gearing up to open the doors to its new Lower Londsdale location, and soon at that.

Pizzeria Farina North Shore will be taking over the former location of Il Castello Pizzeria at 119 2nd Street East, which quietly closed earlier this year.

The new location will be a full-service pizzeria with seating for 50, as well as additional seating on an outdoor patio.

Food options include an expanded menu of antipasti, insalate, pastas, and desserts, available for both dine-in and take-out.

Of course, you can expect killer pizza from this joint too.

Farina will serve up Northern Italian-style hand-tossed ‘pizze’ prepared in a brick, wood-fired oven.

This oven is kept at a lower temperature of 600 degrees Fahrenheit (versus traditional Napolitana-style pizza at 900+ degrees Fahrenheit), which means a lighter and slightly crispy crust is in store for patrons here.

Expect the menu of ‘zas you know and love from Farina Main Street along with new additions such as the Ortolana, Bosciaola, and Prosciutto & Arugula varieties.

As for beverages, expect local craft beer and prosecco on tap, an all-Italian wine list, and a curated list of house-made cocktails.

Pizzeria Farina’s North Shore location will officially open to the public on September 19. This new spot will be open Wednesday to Sunday at 5 pm, and it will offer a late-night happy hour beginning at 9 pm.
