One woman is dead after she was hit by a pickup truck in Vancouver on Wednesday morning.
According to Vancouver Police (VPD), the incident took place just after 11:30 am, as the woman was walking across East 30th Avenue along the east side of Main Street.
A black pickup truck proceeded to make a right turn onto Main Street and struck the woman at a “low” speed.
Police said the 83-year victim was rushed to hospital, but succumbed to her injuries a short time later. They added that the driver of the truck is cooperating with investigators.
Now, police are asking anyone is asking anyone with dash-cam footage, who may have been driving in the area on Wednesday morning, between 11:20 and 11:40 am, to contact them.
This is the city’s sixth pedestrian fatality of 2018.
