'It's a little bittersweet': Metro Vancouver Taiwanese restaurant closes after 15 years

Since it opened back in 2009, Pearl Castle location at CF Richmond Centre has been serving an array of Taiwanese favourites and bubble tea. However, that time has now come to an end as the restaurant shared that it has permanently closed the doors to this spot.
“Thank you all for the continued support! Our Richmond Centre Mall location is now closed for business due to lease expiration,” shared the restaurant on Instagram.

While this location first opened 15 years ago, Pearl Castle has been around since 1996.
Currently, it still operates two locations: one in Vancouver at 988 Expo Blvd. at the recently opened Club Kitchen, and another in Richmond at 1128-3779 Sexsmith Rd. That means you’ll still be able to order your favourite Pearl Castle dishes like its Taiwanese chicken nuggets, fried squid, and botany chicken hot pot.
