Parking enforcement to increase in Vancouver as traffic volumes rise

The City of Vancouver is reminding drivers that parking enforcement is set to increase as traffic volumes and demand for curbside spots continue to rise.
In a statement, the City said: “Residents will start to see more bylaw officers on the streets as more staff return to work — patrolling on foot, by bicycle, and in vehicles to keep Vancouver safe and our streets operational.”
Parking enforcement, which includes ticketing and towing in priority areas, applies to the following:
- Priority transit lanes during morning and afternoon rush hours
- Metered-parking areas
- Time-limited areas
- Residential-permit parking zones with little parking availability
The City continues to offer free parking to healthcare workers.
Parking enforcement was brought back in Vancouver on April 30.
