Vancouver restaurant serving Korean dishes with a "fun twist" to open soon
When Autostrada Osteria closed its Main Street location last year, we were curious to see what would eventually take its place. Thankfully, we now know that a new Korean restaurant called Nui will be opening its doors in the former space.
Dished reached out to Nui to learn more about the new concept and what people can expect once it’s open.
“At Nui, we’re focused on Korean-inspired dishes, with a lot of emphasis on balancing flavours and showcasing authentic ingredients,” the restaurant shared.
When it comes to food, Nui plans to serve a range of Korean staples with Nui’s own fun twist. Examples include its signature bowl, Gomtang, made with a unique gochujang sauce.

As for the actual restaurant space, Nui said it was just as important as the food.
“Since we planned a full interior transformation, the structure itself was a key factor—and this location had everything we were looking for. It’s intimate enough to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, yet the high ceilings lend a sense of openness the moment you walk in,” said Nui.
Additionally, Main Street also lends itself well to the new restaurant. Nui said that it is a “unique mix of culture, history, and creativity that aligns with what we want Nui to represent—modern, approachable, yet rooted in tradition.”
“It’s also a bustling area with a lot of foot traffic, and we’re excited to become a part of that community.”
But at the heart of it all, Nui said it’s all about providing great food and a chill vibe.
“We’ve designed a space where you can unwind, enjoy delicious Korean-inspired dishes, and just feel at home,” said Nui. “With Vancouver’s food scene thriving, we’re excited to add our own twist and bring something fresh for everyone to enjoy.”
