Known for using green tea leaves from Uji in Kyoto in all its signature treats, the new Richmond spot offerings a menu packed of food and drink made with the green stuff. The sleek space combines the tradition of the old with the style of a modern new cafe, and pair that with Tsujiri’s signature drinks and treats like the Matcha Souffle Pancakes, and it’s not hard to see why folks are lining up to get a taste.

JINYA Ramen Bar Express

JINYA Ramen Bar Express has officially opened its doors in Mount Pleasant, which means the brand now operates three Vancouver eateries (including Robson and Kerrisdale) in addition to its Burnaby outpost. The new restaurant at 159 West 4th Avenue replaced Q Shi Q Japanese BBQ and quietly opened to the public in February. Known for its authentic and award-winning Tonkotsu Ramen, JINYA offers a ton of customizable options for customers and a great selection of sides and shareables too.

This new Main Street hang is finally open, offering customers a great selection of beer (20 taps ready to pour), several varieties of pho, and many kinds of pizza along with a handful of casual sharables like wings and more from Head Chef Jo Hognestad. The 3,000-sq-ft space, designed by Ricky Alvarez from Tinto Creative, is simple and comfortable, just like the menu that’s offered here. You can find this new spot open daily from 11:30 am to 1 am daily.

Key Party

Key Party is brought to us by the same folks behind The Emerald, Narrow Lounge, Uncle Abe’s, and Rumpus Room. The new Main Street gem is an “open secret” spot and features a 40-seat lounge inspired by a “1970s house party.” Key Party’s cocktail program features drinks like the Spiced Sunrise, Coconut Cream Grasshopper, B-52, and Cherry Paralyzer, along with jello shots made from champagne and cassis. For grub expect eats like party mix, chili-cheese dip, and veggie tapenade to name a few. Key Party will be open daily from 5 pm till late.
