Vancouver Coastal Health added several new coronavirus exposure alerts for schools in Vancouver and Richmond this week.

In Vancouver, two high schools and one elementary school have notified families that someone came to school while infectious recently. Killarney Secondary School had an exposure on October 29 and 30, University Hill Secondary School had one from October 26 to 28, and Queen Alexandra Elementary had one from October 26 to 30.

Down in Richmond, four elementary schools are reporting new coronavirus exposures. William Bridge Elementary School had an exposure from October 26 to 19, and again on November 2; Mitchell Elementary School had one on November 2; R.J. Tait Elementary School had one on October 30; and Kathleen McNeely Elementary School had one from October 28 to 30.

Exposures mean someone came to school in the days before receiving a positive COVID-19 test. Public health staff still notify close contacts directly, so those who haven’t received a phone call can still attend school as normal.
