Grab your warmest coat and get ready. It’s going to be freezing in Vancouver this weekend.

Literally.

As if the early onslaught of snow in areas of Metro Vancouver hasn’t messed with the fragility of area residents enough this week, temperatures in the region are set to dip below 0°C this weekend.

Yes, according to Environment Canada, this weekend’s overnight temperatures are set to dip as low as -2°C, with daytime temperatures only climbing as high as 5°C.

Environment Canada weekend weather forecast.

Along with the cold, Environment Canada is warning that more snow is in the forecast this weekend as well.

So whether we are ready for it or not,  it appears winter has decided to make its grand entrance in Vancouver – and stick around for a little while as well.

So bundle up and stay warm, Vancouver. And here’s just a quick reminder that the first official day of winter isn’t for another month and a half.
