The freezing temperatures and snow have come to an end for Metro Vancouver.

The snowfall warning for the region that was renewed on Monday morning has now been declared over by Environment Canada.

Over the Family Day long weekend, Metro Vancouver saw wintery conditions, and Saturday was the snowiest February 13 Vancouver has experienced in 72 years.

Temperatures also dipped below zero last week as a series of Arctic outflow warnings were issued for Metro Vancouver.

Environment Canada Vancouver forecast

According to Environment Canada, Metro Vancouver’s mild winter weather will be returning this week with highs up to 8Ā°C and a mixed forecast of sunshine and rain.

Looks like we’ll be able to put away the heavy jackets and enjoy those early-blooming daffodils and cherry blossoms once again.
