In addition to winning nationally to form government, the Liberal Party of Canada is projected to sweep the ridings of the Lower Mainland of British Columbia in the 2025 federal election.
As of 11 a.m., the Liberals are expected to take at least 17 seats in the Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley regions.
The Conservative Party of Canada has secured at least six seats, specifically within areas in eastern Metro Vancouver, western Richmond, and the Fraser Valley.

The NDP currently only has a small island of representation in the Lower Mainland, with longtime MP Jenny Kwan maintaining her hold on the Vancouver East riding. The party has lost key ridings such as Burnaby Central — where leader Jagmeet Singh announced his imminent resignation after failing to secure a seat and leading the party to its worst election results ever — and New Westminster–Burnaby–Maillardville, where veteran candidate Peter Julian was defeated after winning seven consecutive elections since 2004.
At the moment, two ridings remain too close to call, with the top two candidates separated by fewer than 1,000 votes, with nearly all polls reporting.
Within Vancouver Kingsway, which is located next to Vancouver East, Don Davies of the NDP currently has 18,259 votes — a very narrow lead over Amy Gill of the Liberals, who has 17,951 votes. Currently, 192 of 193 polls are reporting.
The other close, undecided race is in Cloverdale-Langley City, with 183 of 195 polls reporting as of now. Tamara Jansen of the Conservatives has secured 22,942 votes, slightly ahead of the Liberals’ Kyle Latchford with 22,019 votes.
The 2025 federal election was also conducted under the 2023 federal electoral district redistribution, which was based on the 2021 census to account for population growth. This redistribution significantly altered the geographical boundaries of many ridings, consolidated others, and created new ridings that crossed both municipal and regional borders.
