Medical emergency leads to major delays on Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo ferry route

BC Ferries is warning passengers travelling between Nanaimo and Horseshoe Bay of significant delays due to a medical emergency.
According to BC Ferries, the Queen of Oak Bay is operating two hours behind schedule “due to a medical emergency experienced by one of [their] crew members, earlier this morning.”
BC Ferries later tweeted that two sailings on the Queen of Oak Bay have been cancelled. This will affect passengers with tickets for the 11:05 am sailing from Horseshoe Bay and the 1:25 departure from Departure Bay.

BC Ferries is requesting customers with reservations check-in at the terminals in accordance with the scheduled sailing times to maintain their reservation.
