Assault leaves man in wheelchair with 'serious injuries': VPD

An assault in Vancouver’s Collingwood neighbourhood has left a man in a wheelchair with serious injuries.

According to the Vancouver Police Department, the incident took place on the morning of July 4 at 8 am. First responders were called to the underground parking lot of an apartment building on Kingsway near Cecil Street for a man in a wheelchair who was seriously injured.

Officers determined the injuries were caused by a recent assault.

The 44-year-old Vancouver man was taken to hospital where he remains in serious condition.

No arrests have been made and VPD is appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who has dash-cam video and was driving in the area of Cecil Street between Kingsway and Euclid Avenue between 7:30 am and 8:00 am this morning.
