A man is in the hospital after shots fired in Vancouver’s Dunbar neighbourhood.

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) say that on Tuesday, just after 5:30 pm, they responded to a report of shots being fired near W 29th Avenue and Dunbar Street.

Constable Tania Visintin, Spokesperson for the VPD, tells Daily Hive that, “a man was leaving a restaurant in the area when possibly two suspects began shooting at him.”

While the two suspects reportedly fled the area, they were located by police and arrested shortly after.

Visintin adds that at this point in time, it’s unclear as to whether the incident was targeted.

“The one male victim has been taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries,” she says.
