The past weekend saw a record-setting day at Grouse Mountain’s annual Multi-Grouse Grind Challenge.

On June 22, 67 athletes hiked the Grouse Grind a collective total of 660 times.

Wilfrid Leblanc set a new record at this year’s event, scaling the Grind 19 times over the course of 19 hours.

Brooke Spence set a new female record, completing the Grouse Grind 18 times in the same amount of time.

Best of all, this year’s challenge raised over $48,000 in support of the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“We’re thrilled to see participation in the Multi-Grouse Grind Challenge grow year after year,” says Julia Grant, Grouse Mountain’s Communications Manager. “All the athletes who participated should be incredibly proud of their accomplishment as well as the funds raised for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.”
