Popular local cafe continues takeover of Metro Vancouver

Hot off the heels of its first Vancouver location, the team behind Little Pisces has announced it will be coming to UBC as soon as this fall.

The shop, brought to us by co-owners Linda Dai and Jacky Tian, has taken Metro Vancouver by storm ever since it opened its first Burnaby location in 2024 and its subsequent Richmond outpost. Then, in 2026, it opened its first cafe in Vancouver proper.

Dai and Tian first met in high school and were friends, but drifted apart after graduating and living in different countries. Then they met up again and threw around the idea of opening a cafe, decided to quit their corporate jobs, and committed to opening Little Pisces.

While taiyaki are the main event at Little Pisces, it also offers soft serve and a selection of coffee, matcha, and more.

An exact location for the new UBC outpost has yet to be shared, but we do know it’ll be opening in the University Village.

UBC has seen many shakeups in its food scene in recent years. Spots like Pearl Fever and JamJar Canteen have closed locations on the campus, while other restaurants like Hungry Zus and Rosie’s Burgers have announced they will be opening soon.
