Vancouver Police impounded a luxury car and fined its driver after it was clocked going three times the speed limit on Lions Gate Bridge.

According to Sgt. Mark Christensen, the McLaren was topped out at speeds of 190 km/hr and was “rapidly pulling away” on the Vancouver bridge.

The speed limit on Lions Gate Bridge is posted at 60 km/hr.

The car was impounded and the driver was fined $483. Christensen says a high-risk driver report has been filled out, requesting the driver to go on “immediate prohibition.”
