This Burnaby eatery makes sushi burgers with deep-fried buns (PHOTOS)
We’ve had sushi doughnuts, sushi pizzas, heck, even sushi tacos,Ā but now we’ve stumbled upon the one thing we’ve been missing all along Vancouver – sushi burgers.
Metro Vancouver restaurant chain Pho Japolo has their own eatery in Burnaby entirely dedicated to sushi calledĀ Japolo Sushi,Ā and it has five different kinds of insane-looking sushi burgers.
Not just rice burgers (which are still delicious, don’t get us wrong) these guys are full-on, true blue, fresh and dressed-to-perfection sushi burgers.

You can order Japolo’s sushi burger in original, salmon, tuna, unagi, and sockeye salmon. All of these varieties are combined with avocado, crab meat, lettuce, fish roe, sauce, and sandwiched between two thick deep-fried sushi rice buns.
All of the burgers are around $15 except for the unagi variety, which is $21.95.
So the next time you’re craving sushi, ask yourself – why have a regular-sized roll when you can have a giant sushi-stuffed circle?
