Hollywood North is heating up with summer film shoots around B.C., and star Josh Duhamel is the latest celebrity who can’t get enough of B.C. while filming.

Duhamel is in B.C. to film Runaway, a feature directed by James Clayton.

In a new Instagram post to his 2.5 million followers, the Shotgun Wedding and Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! star shared a video of himself at the “beautiful” Hell’s Gate Airtram Canyon in the Fraser Canyon.

“British Columbia, baby! Hell’s Gate. C’mon…,” Duhamel said as he panned his smartphone camera around to show the forested mountains and the rushing river below.

Hell’s Gate Airtram is a fully suspended gondola ride over the most treacherous section of the Fraser River in Boston Bar, just outside of Hope. Over 200 million gallons of water roar through the narrow rock canyon every minute.

Guests can stop by the educational center to learn the history of the railways and about the lives of the spawning salmon during their visit. Then pop by Simons Cafe, the Fudge Factory, and the Gold Panner Gift Shop for a treat.

According to Creative BC’s In Production List, Runaway is filming throughout Metro Vancouver until July 22.

Hundreds of B.C. fans shared Duhamel’s excitement about Hell’s Gate in the comments of his video.

“Hella awesome there,” said one commenter. “Get yourself a river rafting expedition in the Devil’s Gorge.”

“At this point, you really should just become a spokesperson as to why people should be visiting our beautiful province,” added another.

B.C. has been a popular destination for film and TV productions this year.
