It’s time to stop making microwave popcorn and watching movies from your couch, as Hollywood 3 Cinemas is set to resume its services on Friday, June 12.

With movie screenings for only $5 per person, this BC-owned family chain is one of the first indoor theatres to reopen in Canada.

And all of  their locations in White Rock, Surrey, Pitt Meadows, and Duncan (Vancouver Island) will resume services under new guidelines and safety protocols, when their doors reopen.

To follow safety measures, each auditorium will allow no more than 50 people at a screening.

As well, “seating in each auditorium will be spread out to maintain physical distancing but families that live together will be able to sit together,”  the chain states on Facebook.

With an hour gap between each movie showing, the staff at Hollywood 3 Cinemas have been instructed to thoroughly sanitize the auditoriums, lobby, and washrooms.

All employees will be wearing face coverings and gloves to protect our other employees and guests,” according to the Facebook post. “Our counters have been fitted with plexi-glass to protect both our staff and our customers.”

They are starting off by screening daily night showings of E.T – the Extra Terrestrial, and matinees of Trolls World Tour. Showtimes are available on their website.
