Nexii Building Solutions Inc. announced today that it is developing its first full-scale commercial production plant in Squamish. This comes after Gregor Robertson was appointed earlier this week as the Executive VP of Strategy and Partnerships for the Canadian building and construction company.
The plant will create approximately 150 full-time highly skilled jobs and advance clean-tech building and construction innovations, according to a press release from the company.
“Squamish is a world-class outdoor destination with unmatched quality of life and proximity to the natural world, and Nexii is proud to contribute to the area’s burgeoning cleantech industry”, said Stephen Sidwell, CEO of Nexii.

“The development of our first full-scale commercial facility in Canada will allow Nexii to further develop and deploy our green construction technology that will help mitigate the impacts of climate change, while simultaneously being an economic driver in what’s shaping up to be Canada’s clean growth century”, continued Sidwell.
Nexii’s plant will begin development immediately, and it is anticipated that production will begin later this year. When fully operational, Nexii’s plant will provide approximately 150 full-time jobs in the manufacturing, construction, building information modelling, and engineering industries.
