Former Vancouver mayor Gregor Robertson hired as construction firm's vice president

Former Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson has landed a new role as Executive VP of Strategy and Partnerships for Canadian building and construction technology company, Nexii Building Solutions Inc.

“We are at a critical time for restoring our environment,” said Robertson. “Buildings are the largest source of climate pollution.”

This, he furthered, is “why when Nexii — the creators of new breakthrough green building technologies — asked me to join their team.”

Robertson added that he “didn’t hesitate” at that opportunity, and that he is “proud to be part of a Canadian company with significant potential to make a huge positive impact on the environment and communities globally.”

Calling Robertson a “globally influential advocate for climate action,” Nexii CEO Stephen Sidwell said he “values Gregor’s leadership.”

The former mayor, he furthered, “brings a wealth of experience and a unique understanding of how cities, developers, and construction companies can work together to provide more sustainable buildings.”
