
Mother Nature and gravity foiled an East Vancouver robbery attempt.
Vancouver police shared the karmic details in a post on X on Monday morning.
According to the post, someone attempted to get away with selling a fake iPhone in a Facebook Marketplace exchange, and as one X user pointed out, karma got ’em.

On Saturday, the victim in question wanted to buy an iPhone. The suspect was selling what the VPD called a fake iPhone for $1,200.
Vancouver police said that the suspect tried to flee before hitting some ice.
“Gravity kicked in and he fell,” VPD added.
According to the X post, after the suspect fell, the cash he had spread out on the ground for the victim to retrieve.
The investigation is ongoing.
People had much to say on X in response to the Vancouver robbery attempt and the sad turn of events for the Facebook Marketplace fraudster.
“What a doofus!” one user responded.
They added, “Thanks, Mother Nature!”
