We’ve found it – the mother of all lasagnas – a dish that comes from the kitchen at Frankie’s Italian Kitchen & Bar.
The Beatty Street eatery, located inside the Georgian Court Hotel, has been dishing up authentic southern Italian fare in an atmosphere oozing with old-school charm for years, but we think there’s one dish in particular that’s worth gushing about.
Nonna Maria’s Lasagna.
This signature dish is straight from a long-time family recipe. It’s made in-house with ricotta, bolognese sauce, san marzano tomato sauce, and mozzarella – that’s $18 worthy of epic cheesy goodness (but man is it worth it).
This creation is probably big enough to split into two meals, so you can get more bang for your buck if you think of it that way.

Whether you’re heading to Frankie’s for a bite before the Canucks Game, the Jazz show next door (Frankie’s Jazz Club), or simply to enjoy some housemade pasta and Okanagan wine, you’re going to need to try the mother of all lasagnas – or you’ll regret it forever.
Address: 765 Beatty Street, Vancouver
