Autostrada is Main Street’s newest spot for Italian eats, well, specifically housemade pastas – eight varieties of it.
Along with the classic pastas and small starter bites like bread and salumi, this eatery (which means highway in Italian) will serve wine and some vegetarian dishes like salad and risotto.

Mixed Olives, Duck Liver or Anchovy on Toast, and classic Italian Caesar Salad are all up for order here as well. Diner’s can enjoy a small menu and an intimate space (around 30 seats) that comes full of big flavour.
Chef Lucais Syme (Cinara) has a history of creating unbelievable pasta, so it’s no surprise to hear that his brand new eatery has been a popular spot since it opened on January 10. Autostrada says it shares many dishes with its sister restaurant, Cinara, so you can expect the same epic eats if you’ve been to that West Pender gem.
Find Autostrada at 4811 Main Street tucked next to Matchstick’s Riley Park location. No reservations here, just walk in and see if there’s room.
