Vancouver's new burger spot is filling the gap between fancy and basic
The team behind Bovine Rice Bowls is debuting a new slider concept inside Bentall Centre called Four Bite Burger, and it’s officially opening tomorrow.
“We want to cook the food we love to eat,” said Jeremy Lau and Peter Yau, founders of Bovine Rice Bowls and Four Bite Burger.
“Everyone loves a good burger, and we are no exception. In our city, you can get everything from an egg or avocado topping to a microgreen salad on your beef. There’s room for those things, but sometimes you just want a classic burger, and we felt like there was a gap between fancy and basic. Four Bite Burger fills that gap with a menu built on simplicity: delicious bite-sized burgers made with good ingredients, executed with chef-driven technique.”

At the heart of the menu are, of course, the hand-crafted sliders, available in packs of two, three, or four. Packs are also served alongside seasoned curly fries.
“We don’t want to do too much,” added the owners. “Our ground beef blend is seasoned and cooked with thinly sliced onions, topped with melted cheese and house sauce, all on a perfectly steamed potato roll.”

If you’re not feeling burgers, folks can also dig into grilled cheese sliders, crispy chicken strips, and fresh kale Caesar salads. Plus, the team is serving up house-made iced tea and lemonade.
The kitchen is led by chef Mario Regaldo, who has over two decades of experience, in addition to former Bovine kitchen manager Kristi Koike, who brings her detailed expertise to the front of house.

Four Bite Burger is currently softly open inside the Bentall Centre’s new food court, with a grand opening scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 24. The space will operate Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
